Kuwait, Feb 4: Following the Christmas season in order to instill the spirit and story of Christmas in young minds and to promote the talents of our children, KBWA conducted the Fancy Dress competition on the theme on Bible characters on Saturday January 25 at Salmiya.
The talent contest was open to all the children of the members of the association in the age group of 2 years to 18 years.
The programme commenced at 7:30 pm with the invocation of God’s blessing and the prayer service was led by secretary Glady’s D’Silva.
President of the Association Gretta D’Souza extended a warm welcome to all the participants of the contents and the members presented, followed by the theme song of the association.
The fancy dress was divided in the age groups of 2-6 years and 7-18 years. The tiny tots in the age group of 2-6 years enthralled the audiences with their mesmerizing performance dressing like the original Bible characters and with their innocent actions. The participants in the age group of 7-18 years also displayed variety of Bible characters and showcased their talents.
The fancy dress competition was followed by the Bible quiz based on the Gospel of St Luke. The children exhibited their Bible knowledge by answering the range of questions with ease and confidence. Some of the questions were thrown open to the audiences and they too answered the questions with enthusiasm.
Henry Lewis, Florene Lewis and Roney Lewis were the judges of the contest.

All the participants were awarded with the Certificate of Participation and the winners were presented with the attractive prizes.
Talent contents was followed by the sumptuous dinner prepared by the members of the association. Secretary of the association Gladys D’Silva proposed the vote of thanks.
