Mangalore: Rs 8 crore for construction of road at court complex

Mangalore, Feb 4: MLA J R Lobo on Monday February 3 announced a sum of Rs 8 crore for the construction of a road to the new building of the district court complex.
He made the announcement after inspecting the ongoing work on the building and the road at the Mangalore court campus. He held discussions with the district judge regarding the pros and cons of the work in the presence of lawyers.
During his earlier visit, the lawyers' association had requested him to obtain suitable aid from the government to build a road. The MLA said he had acted on their request and was able get an amount of Rs 8 crore for the road.
The MLA asked the city corporation, PWD and other government officials to complete the work within the next three days and clean the surroundings.
Advocates P Ashok Ariga, Kallige Taranath Shetty, M P Noronha, Varada Raj, Vinay Raj, A C Jayaraj, Sundar Parappadi, Vinaya Kumar, Vittala Rai, Narayana Poojary and other senior lawyers were present.
The MLA asked the PWD engineer to speak to the president of Advocate’s Association P Ashok Ariga regarding the construction of Advocates' Bhavan and to start work on it.
