Mumbai, May 20: The new office premises of St Peter’s Association (Barkur), Mumbai, was inaugurated at the Hatheem Cottage building on Sahar Road at Andheri (E) here.
Fr Donath blessed the premises and celebrated the Eucharist, while Fr Herald Pereira of Holy Family Church, Chakala, inaugurated the new office.
Richard Carvalho, president of the association, presided over the function. Marcel Dias, social worker, was the chief guest. Federation of Maharashtra’s Canara Catholic Association advisor Harry Sequeira Ferar, was the guest of honour. Other guests present were Sr Alice Serrao Alangar (UFS), businessman Ben Louis and Augustine Almeida Bramhavar.
Gladys Sequeira, wife of the founder president and social worker Marcel Dias, were felicitated by former president of the association Felix Barnes and vice president S Peter Furtado, respectively.
Henry Roche, immediate past president, welcomed the gathering. Ivan Suvares compered the programme. Honorary chief secretary Ivan Rebello rendered the welcome speech and spoke about the association. Vice president Norman Menezes proposed the vote of thanks.
