Abu Dhabi, Feb 2: The Bearys Welfare Forum (BWF), a well known social organization in UAE, respected for its philanthropic and charitable works, organized the ‘Seerat-un-Nabi’ programme at Banquet Hall, Arab Udupi Resturant, Abu Dhabi on Thursday evening, January 30 amidst prominent personalities from all walks of life.
Bearys Welfare Forum is carrying forward the rich traditions of the Beary Community along with serving the poorest of the poor in the community. It is noteworthy that BWF is arranging social and religious programmes.
“But need of the hour is unity in the community, and unity must be given priority as the society passes through a turbulent time," said Sayed Ibrahim Al Hadi Thangal, Mudarris, Juma Masjid, Athoor and a prominent Islamic scholar, who came to Abu Dhabi to attend the programme. In his inspirational speech he emphasized the unity of Muslims and all mankind.
Abdul Salam Puttige, editor-in-chief, Vartha Bharathi daily, in his keynote speech touched all aspects of Prophet Mohammed’s (pbuh), teaching and emphasized how it is relevant to 21st centaury. An Islamic scholar and an intellectual Puttige impressed the young audience of 250 people, with his open and intelligent speech. In his address on the occasion highlighting the greatness, simplicity and life aspects of the Prophet Muhammed (pbuh).
BWF president Mohamed Ali Uchil presided over the function, and welcomed the guests and described at length the achievements of BWF in the field of charity and reaching out to the poor. He also emphasized on the need for the youth in the community to work hard and educate them to be ready to face the modern world.
Abdulla Madumoole, general secretary, BWF delivered the introductory speech which covered the life of Prophet Mohammed (pbuh), and how to achieve unity in the society.
Siraj Ahmed, VP, ADCB and a Sahibaan Community leader gave a short speech, and promised his wholehearted support to BWF charity programmes.
Vinod Ahmed, a prominent social figure in UAE was present on the dais.
Irshad Byrikatte, a young and talented BWF executive member compered the Seerat-un-Nabi programme, and recited verses from the Holy Quran. Jaleel Gurupur, BWF executive committee member rendered the vote of thanks.
Mohamed Rafeeq Krishanapur, vice-president, BWF along with treasurer Siddik Kaup Mohamed Kallapu, Imran Ahmed, Siddik Uchil, Nawaz Uchil, Hameed Gurupur, Abdul Majeed, Ismail Shimoga, Abdul Razak Sullia, Mostafa Mata, Abdul Rauf, Ibrahim Umbu, Rasheed Bijai, Nazeer Ubar, Majeed Athoor and V K Rasheed were instrumental in arranging the programme.
