Bangalore, Jan 26: Senior BJP leader and national party general secretary H N Ananth Kumar launched a door-to-door campaign in his Bangalore South Lok Sabha Constituency and vowed to expose the misdeeds of the Congress in the last 10 years.
Contending that nobody can stop party’s leader Narendra Modi from becoming the prime minister of the nation, he said that there was a wave in favour of Modi across the nation as people were fed up with corruption, scams and nepotism by the Congress at the Centre in the last one decade.
''Today, I am visiting every house in this part of the city. We are distributing Vikasa Patra (report on achievements in BJP ruled states); Aropa Patra (report on misdeeds in Congress-ruled states) and Namo Patra (report on achievements of Modi and his vision for the nation to the people,” Ananth Kumar said.
The BJP leader received excellent response from the people for his door-to-door campaign, though he visited the houses and establishments of mostly his supporters in the constituency.
''People of my Constituency are family members”
“I always treated people of my constituency as my family members. They too treat me in the same manner. We share an excellent rapport. I see unconditional support for the BJP and Modi. I am extremely thankful to the people of this constituency for showing faith in me and the party,” he said.
The launch of door-to-door campaign by the BJP national General Secretary, in his home constituency, at least two to three months ahead of the actual election and even before the announcement of the poll schedule, assumes significance considering the fact the ruling Congress party in the State is believed to decided to fielded UDAI Chairman Nandan Nilekani as the party candidate.
“Every day, people are facing challenges in their day-to-day activities, as corruption, Price rise under the Congress rule has hit the people. The time for change has come and nobody can stop Modi from becoming the prime minister,” Ananth Kumar asserted.
Observing that corruption, inflation, unemployment, weakened economy, rising incidents of terrorism, and national security are the issues of the Parliament elections, Ananth Kumar said the Congress has failed on all these fronts.
“People of this nation are politically aware of the situation. They know who can turn around the situation for them. Like the BJP, the people of the nation too favour Modi because of his development model in Gujarat. I am sure that the BJP will unseat the Congress at the Centre,” he asserted.
Cong will be decimated in the LS Polls
According to him, the Congress will be decimated in the Parliamentary polls.
“The results of the recent elections in 5 states are a testimony. People are fed up of Congress; they want a visionary leader and party. Across the nation, it is Modi versus Rahul Gandhi,” Ananth Kumar said.
Earlier in the day, the BJP leader participated in “Free Bengaluru” cycle jatha aimed at promoting the use of cycles in the city by reducing reliance on fossil fuel-driven vehicles.
Ananth Kumar, who too rode a cycle, said he was excited to be part of the event, as it reminded him of his college days.
