Genelia excited for CCL


Mumbai, Jan 24 (IANS): Actress Genelia D'Souza is excited about the first match of her actor-husband Riteish Deshmukh's cricket team Veer Marathi at the upcoming Celebrity Cricket League (CCL).

She took to Twitter to express her excitement and also invited her fans for the game.

"One day to go for the opening ceremony of CCL... Veer Marathi plays its first match at D.Y. Patil Stadium at 7 p.m... see you there," Genelia posted on the microblogging site Friday.

The game marks the second match of the tournament, which will begin Saturday. Veer Marathi will compete with Bhojpuri Dabanggs.

Big B remembers parents on their wedding anniversary

It's all about parents for megastar Amitabh Bachchan, who remembered his late parents, poet Harivansh Rai Bachchan and Teji Bachchan, with fond memories on their marriage anniversary Friday.

"Tomorrow (Friday) 24th, my parents' wedding anniversary... 71 years. Their meeting and decision to marry, a vivid chapter in father's autobiography," Amitabh posted on Twitter Thursday night.

On the work front, Amitabh is currently shooting for his film "Bhootnath Returns".

Arshad proud of kids' acting skills

Actor Arshad Warsi is thrilled and proud that he has managed to pass on his acting talent to his children - son Zeke Warsi and daughter Zene Zoe Warsi.

The "Dedh Ishqiya" actor took to Twitter to share his joy when he saw them act in their school play.

"I was overwhelmed with pride and joy, watching my Zeke and Zene act for their school play last night. They are absolutely natural," Arshad posted on the microblogging site Friday.

The proud father has garnered a lot of critical appreciation for his performance in "Dedh Ishqiya", in which he starred with Naseeruddin Shah, Madhuri Dixit and Huma Qureshi.
