Mumbai, May 16: Mystery surrounding the murder of Vasudha Shenoy (19) of Sudheendranagar near Dahisar still keeps the police in dark as there are no clues available right now to track the killers.
Vasudha, daughter of Raghunath Shenoy was alone in the house on Monday since her mother and sister had gone to Udupi in Karnataka on vacations. Raghunath came home in the night after his work and went to the nearby temple for daily pooja. Thinking that daughter might be sleeping, he did not go to wake her up.
But when he came a little while later, he did not find Vasudha in the house. So he went to her room and was shocked to find Vasudha murdered. He immediately informed the police and also passed on the news to his wife in Udupi. She immediately started from Udupi along with her relatives and reached home on Tuesday May 16 morning.
Vasudha's body was taken to Karuna Hospital at Borivili for autopsy. She was cremated at Ambevady in Daulatnagar near Dahisar at 3.30 pm. The autopsy reports said that Vasudha was murdered around 2 pm on Monday May 15.
