'Pandavulu Pandavulu...' is Rs.30-crore spectacle: Mohan Babu

Chennai, Jan 23 (IANS): Actor-producer M. Mohan Babu says that forthcoming Telugu romantic-drama "Pandavulu Pandavulu Tummeda" has been made on a budget of Rs.30 crore because he wanted the film to be a big spectacle.

Mohan Babu has teamed up with his sons Manchu Vishnu and Manchu Manoj for the first time in his career for the film.

"Ever since we announced that the film will also feature my sons, expectations have gone higher. We didn't want to compromise on the expectations, and, therefore, made this film on a budget of Rs.30 crore. We wanted the film to be a big spectacle for the fans," Mohan Babu said in a statement.

Mohan Babu, who is making a comeback to silver screen, is also playing a prominent role in the film.

"There is a huge expectation both on and off the screen as the word-of-mouth about the film intensified ever since the first poster of the film was launched. The momentum picked up further with the release of audio and theatrical trailer," he added.

Also featuring an ensemble cast of Raveena Tandon, Varun Sandesh, Hansika Motwani, Pranitha Subhash, Tanish and Vennela Kishore, the film is directed by Srivas.

The film, which has music by Bappa Lahiri, Achu Rajamani and Chinna, is slated for release Jan 31.
