Mumbai: 'Permeda Tuluver' title to be conferred on four achievers

Mumbai, Jan 22: Mumbai-based Kala Sampada, an organization striving to promote Tulu and its distinct Tulunadu culture, in association with Akhila Bharat Tulu Okkuta will be staging ‘Bombaid Tuluver – 2014 Sambrama’ at Radhabai T Bhandary auditorium, Bunts Bhavan, Kurla (East) here on Sunday January 26, 2.30 pm onwards.
Akhila Bharat Tulu Okkuta president Dharmapal U Devadiga will preside the programme. The renowned Vastu consultant Ashok Purohit and Jerimeri – Umamaheshwari temple chief priest S N Udupa will inaugurate the programme, informed Kala Sampada Mumbai president Karnoor Mohan Rai.

Kala Sourabha theater group will present ‘Telike – Nalike – Rangito’ Tulu play; the renowned theater group of Mumbai will present ‘Rang – Rangito’ Tulu play, a theater group of Pushkal Kumar Tonse will present ‘Maskiri Gammat’ and a theater group promoted by Ashok Polali will present ‘Nalikeda Kusel’ Tulu play as part of Bombaid Tuluver – 2014 Sambrama.
Buntara Sangha Mumbai president CA Shankar B Shetty will felicitate B S Kurkal (education – literature), H K Karkera (theater), Jayanti Bangera Moodbidri (Tulu literature), K. M Kotian (social service), Jayakar D Poojary (Tulu research), Shyam Shetty (Yakshagana), Ashok Kodyadka (folk-art) for their extraordinary contributions to society. Veteran litterateur Dr Sunita M Shetty will honour the distinguished personalities on the occasion.
Kadri Navaneet Shetty will conduct the two rounds of quiz, where everyone can get a chance to win special prizes.
Vidya Vihar Ambika Adinateshwar Mahaganapati Temple chief priest Vedamurti Pernankila Haridas Bhat will deliver the valedictory address.
