Harsha Moily figures in Cong probables' list, Poojary takes battle to Delhi
Bangalore, Jan 21 (DHNS): The KPCC is understood to have included four more names to the list of probable candidates for the coming Lok Sabha elections from the State, including Union Petroleum minister Veerappa Moily’s son Harsha Moily for Dakshina Kannada constituency.
Inclusion of additional names to the list finalised in the KPCC election committee recently, is understood to have caused a lot of resentment among the ticket aspirants.
The move is said to have irked senior leader Janardhan Poojary, who has sought ticket from Dakshina Kannada. The KPCC election committee had decided to recommend only Poojary’s name to be the candidate.
Moily, who wants to field his son from the constituency, is learnt to have ensured that Harsha Moily’s name is included.
Poojary is now camping in Delhi to get his name cleared from the high command. On Sunday, speaking at a programmed in Bantwal, he said that he would fight till the end to ensure that he gets the ticket to contest the Lok Sabha polls from Mangalore.
Names recommended by the KPCC panel will be submitted before the AICC screening committee Vayalar Ravi.
R Rajendra, son of Madhugiri MLA K N Rajanna for Tumkur, Yogesh, son of former MLA Chandrashekaraiah for Shimoga and Mohan Asundi for Dharwad are other names included in the list.
