New Delhi, Jan 20 (IANS): If the thought of Chandni Chowk's finger-licking and lip-smacking aloo tikki, paranthas and dahi bhalle excites you, but the crowded streets make you cringe, here's a chance to indulge in the delights of old Delhi's delectable food at the click of a mouse.
Online shopping place Tradus.com has tied up with some of Chandni Chowk's oldest shops - from Gali Paranthe Wali, Ghantewala Mithai and Kuwarji to Chaina Ram's Karachi Halwa, Old and Famous Jalebiwala and Natraj Dahi Bhalle - to bring their popular flavour close to netizens and mobile users in Delhi.
"We have launched Chandni Chowk market that hosts hundreds of sellers publishing a wide catalogue. We are celebrating this launch via this food festival. Tradus' location-based platform is being used to bring authentic street food from century-old shops to thousands of foodies who appreciate traditional recipes. We are taking local commerce to a new level," a Tradus.com spokesperson said in a statement.
The price of food items begins at Rs.20, and orders received by 11 a.m. will be delivered by the same evening.
Payment can be made in cash at the time of delivery.
