Mangalore: Lakumi troupe's 'Nank Matherla Bodu' delights Tulu fans

Mangalore, Jan 20: The well-known Lakumi troupe led by Ln Kishore D Shetty on Sunday January 19 delighted fans of Tulu theatre with the comedy drama 'Nank Matherla Bodu', hosted by Bejai unit of Catholic Sabha at Lourdes Central School grounds, Bejai.
Nirmal D'Souza, president of the Bejai unit of Catholic Sabha welcomed the guests.
Chief guest, Walter Stephan Mendes, managing director of Western Institute of Technology in his addres said, "I thank Catholic Sabha for taking a good initiative in helping the poor. Catholic Sabha is following in the footsteps of Jesus."
Ivan Mascarenhas, choir master of Bejai parish was felicitated during the ceremony for his dedication to the choir as well as to the church.
Fr Victor Machado, parish priest of St Francis Xavier Church, Bejai in his presidential speech, said, "As a priest I would like to specially bless the Lakumi team for its success. Catholic Sabha has been doing laudable work and my blessings are always with them."
Shalet Pinto, secretary, proposed the vote of thanks.
'Nank Matherla Bodu' Tulu drama was directed by Kishore D Shetty, with music by Rajesh Bhat, story and dialogues by Naveen Shetty Alake. The artistes put up a tremendous performance, especially the much loved Tulu theatre and cine actor Aravind Bolar.
Robin Cutinho hosted the show.
Frank Fernandes, chairman of Mosaco shopping Co LLC, Dubai was the guest of honour. Nigel Pereira, president of Catholic Sabha Mangalore Pradesh, Augustine Rodrigues, vice-president of parish council and others were also present.
