Fahad Fazil-Nazriya Nazim to get married in August

Alappuzha (Kerala) Jan 20 (IANS): Malayalam actors Fahad Fazil and Nazriya Nasim are engaged to be married and the marriage ceremony will take place in August, said a family member adding that it is an arranged marriage.

Fahad is Rozina and director Fazil's son.

Speaking to IANS, Fahad's mother Rozina said that the marriage was fixed Sunday.

"The marriage will be held in the state capital as the girl hails from there and it will be in August," she said and added that they decided on the month as "two of my daughters are abroad and they will be able to come only in August".

This is an arranged marriage and Rozina said that they knew Nazriya since she was a child.

When asked about Nazriya's acting career, she said: "Whether Nazriya should act or not after the marriage is a decision that they have to make. We have no say in that."

Fahad made his debut as a child artiste in 1992 release "Pappayude Swantham Appoos" and a decade later he made his debut as a hero in his dad's film "Kaiyethum Doorath", but it bombed at the box office. Soon after his first film's fiasco, he went to the US to pursue his studies.

Fahad made a comeback in 2009 and established himself with numerous hits like “Akam”, “Chaappa Kurishu”, “22 Female Kottayam”, “Diamond Necklace” and “Annayum Rasoolum”.

Nazriya too started her acting career as a child artist with director Blessy's "Palunku" in 2006 and turned into a lead actress with "Maad Dad" and later featured in films like "Neram" and "Naiyaandi".
