Anchoring 'Samvidhan' makes Swara a proud Indian


Mumbai, Jan 16 (IANS): Actress Swara Bhaskar has just wound up anchoring Shyam Benegal's TV show "The Story of the Making of the Constitution of India - Samvidhaan" and says after doing the show, she feels proud to be an Indian.

"I've just anchored a show 'Samvidhan' under Shyam Benegal's direction. It tells the story of our republic. So I am feeling like a very proud Indian right now after knowing about the great story of our constitution," the 26--year-old said here Wednesday at the pre-Filmfare Awards party.

Swara believes that every Indian should be very proud of the Indian constitution.

"Hopefully, 'Samvidhan' will release Jan 26 and this Republic Day is very special for me. I would like to say to everyone that we have a great legacy, our constitution is a great document and we should be very proud of it," Swara said.

Republic Day is the day when the Indian constitution came into force.

"The Story of the Making of the Constitution of India - Samvidhaan" is a 10-part mini series which will be aired on Rajya Sabha TV.

It features actors like Sachin Khedekar, Divya Dutta, Ila Arun and Dilip Tahil.
