'Mandela…' wins best original song Golden Globe award


Los Angeles, Jan 13 (IANS): Band U2’s “Ordinary love” from “Mandela: Long Walk to Freedom” was awarded with best original song –motion picture at the 71st Golden Globe Awards held in Beverly Hills here Sunday evening.

Bono, vocalist of U2, said that the award is personal to them as the late former South African president Nelson Mandela turned their lives upside down.

The other award related to music went to Alex Ebert. He was given the best original score-motion picture Golden Gobe for “All is Lost”.

Singer Usher was one of the presenters of the award.
