Los Angeles, Jan 13 (IANS): “Behind The Candlebra” won the best mini-series or motion picture made for television, while “Breaking Bad” was named the best TV drama at the 71st edition of the Golden Globe Awards here Sunday.
“Behind The Candlebra” narrates the last ten years in the life of pianist Liberace and a secret affair that he was involved in”. Directed by Steven Soderbergh, it stars Michael Douglas, Matt Damon, Scott Bakula, Eric Zuckerman and Eddie Jemison
Crime drama “Breaking Bad” chronicles two years in the life of a struggling high school chemistry teacher, diagnosed with inoperable lung cancer and how he decides to turn to crime. The show’s lead actor Bryan Cranston walked away with the best performance by an actor in a television series - drama trophy at the ceremony.
Actress Elizabeth Moss of the “Top of the Lake” fame was named the winner of the best performance by an actress in a mini-series or a motion picture made for television and Jacqueline Bisset walked away with the best performance by an actress in a supporting role in a series, mini-series or motion picture for “Dancing on the Edge”.
