Mangalore, Jan 9: "The National Book Trust, Mangalore fair reminded me of my school days. The books displayed in the exhibition are unique. Mangaloreans are lucky to be part of this where they have the opportunity of finding all their favorite books under one roof," said Sandalwood actress Yagna Shetty.

She was speaking during her visit to the book fair in Mangalore on Thursday, January 9. The book fair has been organized by National Book Trust, India.

Amit Karki, regional manager, National Book Trust, Mangalore fair requested the actress to visit the fair and the actress readily agreed. She was in town to spend some time with her family amidst her busy shooting schedule.

"When people are more inclined towards online reading through e-books, such exhibitions will definitely hold back the readers and make them buy the hard copies, as I have done today. I congratulate the initiative of National Book Trust for bringing together publishers from across India under one roof. I happen to meet Amit Karki and he invited me. I am a bookworm and love reading Indian authors. I am amazed by the collections and I thank Amit Karki and the team of NBT for bringing this Fair,” she added.

Talking about her upcoming Kannada movie 'Ulidavaru Kandante' actress Yagna said, "I am paired opposite to Kishore in the upcoming movie, directed by Rakshith Shetty, who is also acting in the movie. The film will also mark Rakshith's debut in Sandalwood as a director. Most of the characters in the movie have a coastal origin and background. I play the role of a woman who hails from fisherman's family".

Actress Yagna Shetty has 'Kwatle', 'Sadagara', 'Love Junction' Kannada movies lined-up for release in 2014.
