Mangalore: Two students of same college go missing

Mangalore, Jan 9: A girl and a boy studying in the same college in the city have been reported missing since Tuesday January 7.

Madhushree from Puttur, studying in Mangalore Institute of Fire and Safety Engineering (MIFSE), Pumpwell is the missing girl.

She had attended classes on Tuesday, but did not come home after college hours.

When she did not return home, her parents came to the college and searched around for her, but she not could be found. Her mobile phone was also switched off.

The same day, a boy studying in the same college, identified as Mohammed Tahir from Tenka Yermal, Udupi also went missing, and his phone too is switched off.

A case has been registered in Mangalore rural police station and search for the missing students is on.

    @DR.Indian,London,Of course they may fall in love and want to marry their Partner of choice.But everything has to be done in right way.As they are still students ,not yet completed studies.It is known definitely if they are as pair or anything happened.As grown up children,could inform at home, they will not come home,have other plan either to marry or anything else.That is the Point missing in their act.Everybody falls mostly in love but that doesn't mean that run away from Home ,School without telling anybody,leaving home People in Grieve.Nowadays there happen many illegal things.As per your saying we have to make them better individuals.And you see, that's what you mean.In other countries,many things are different than ours.Well our Country is not that bad in many things Moral,and affection etc.here we Need not go further about it.

    Since they are majors, as usual, they will resurface after the initial heat is over, as man and wife and nobody can do anything about it!!

    They will realize how tough real life is outside the protective shield of their parents and close people in no time and repent forever for this folly, this is the case in all such instances!! Ultimately, in most cases, the parents, after cooling of their initial anger will accept them and take them back home!!

When their kids go beyond someone from other cast or with a low class guy then we will think in other way. commenting is easier than facing the reality. who told you that the arrange marriages are boring? Doesn't our parents are there as the best examples for us. They didn't opt for Love marriage. and they live happily till now. My parents are there with 35 Plus years spent together. but I don't think that they felt it as boring. Its all our mentality, whether its boring or fun filled. We read it in newspapers and see in news channels too that most of the love marriages broke and how many people opt for suicide after the failure in the marriage. Most of them are Love marriage. I don't say Love marriage is bad. But still we should keep our parents also happier because they were the person who taught us to live.

    Honestly....
    1.When lovers enter into wed-lock
    suspense is smashed.
    2.Then, like Alfred Marshall or somebody said 'Familiarity breeds
    contempt' and sometimes children.
    3. Lovers slowly realize individually that they have run
    with another individual-that's all -Nothing new!
    4.Each realize that the other too has expectations! Then the affair becomes 'Tuss'!
    5.See Iron attracted to a magnet? When magnet's power goes Iron falls off automatically! There is
    a lot of 'Moral' in it for lovers who run off!
    6.If you know all this before hand and are matured enough -you do not run in the first place. You create a 'space' for yourself and your 'lover'. You do not run. You stand 'Upright' and face. Your partner too stands by you. Then you Win.
    Running and committing suicide anybody can do!
    Youngsters of this era who know so much about IT, Wires and it's relations do not know these simple things.Hope they learn soon.

    @ramesh s mangalore. i disagree with you 100 percent. Love marriage gives liberty to choose partners irrespective of religion , age or race. its noble because it does not look at society parameters . Couples in love marriages have more bliss since they acted on their preference and likeness, but in arranged it can be with selfish motive and compromised , also boring.

    Roshan..if you want to know the real experience, please observe at least 3 families where these types of incidents occurred..the shame,humility faced by these families are like hell..moreover,love birds life ended tragically after bitter quarrels,suspicion,misunderstanding, divorce,suicide or girl coming with kids to her parents house..end of the day everybody will be suffering..success rate in above cases very less compared to arranged marriages..

    Whether it is loveria or Malaria,youngsters should inform at home about their sickness.Just disappearing also is not good.They should tell the parents and ask them how to dissolve it.After all they have given them shelter,care and brought them up.through their misacting like this break their heart not knowing what happened.many times due to such Problem they commit suicide or get sick.So you Youngsters,please give them at least a sign where you are or you are safe.dont break Their heart.There is always answer to every Problem.You will understand later when you self get children.

    Looks like people in this forum have done a randomized controlled study on love marriages that they have a result 90% failure rate for love marriages! Stop bu!!$#itting and fooling people by plucking numbers from air.
    I agree that they are too young and running away is not the solution ,but liking someone is a natural thing and thats the law of nature. Remember, only in India and some Asian countries we follow arranged marriage, but the rest of the world choose their own partners and as far as I have seen from travelling to more than 35 countries they are doing much better than us.
    Relationships fail in both love and arranged marriages ,but that's part of life.I have seen people with arranged marriages suffering in the relationship for years without divorce which spoils most of their life.
    With time things has to change even in India and its better for us as parents to understand to prevent disappointment . As in all aspects of life expectations is root of all pains,so better we dont expect anything from our children just try our best to make them good individuals.
    Why should we expect anything from children after all they dint beg with us to get them into this world,it was our choice for our selfish reasons!

    Dr, i wish INDIA could have developed like 35 countries which you have mentioned, but unfortunately not..we are still far from that..moreover, you have not mentioned the number of Divorce cases in these countries!!..People in INDIA not only matured to make marriage alliance with other people of religion, we can see there is hesitation between caste & sects..i dont think a catholic prefer a protestant alliance and Sunni with Shia..this is fact..

    i Agree with you that most of the cases ended miserably. but it is most important for us to think why they take this extreme step, what atmosphere they are living in, as you said love is not a crime, but what lead them to go against their parents?     hanifbhai.. is this time to look for life partner options. they are still studying with parents hard earned money.. pehle apne pairo pe khade ho jaaye and think about those options in a matured way. abhi tho bachche hai. this is the only attraction.. char din ki chandni and then repenting whole life, usually the girl and her family suffer.
