Dubai: Denis Mathias elected president of USWAS

Dubai, Jan 8: Denis Mathias, an active Shirva parishioner residing in Dubai, has been elected the president of USWAS (UAE’s St Mary’s Welfare Association, Shirva).

In a recently held meeting in Dubai, the committee members of USWAS gathered to elect a new managing committee for the year 2014.

The meeting started at 12 noon with the prayer. President Nelson Castelino welcomed all the committee members. After the election the outgoing office bearers thanked all the committee members and the members of USWAS for their cooperation and requested all to work together for better unity and to strengthen the Association.

Newly-elected president Denis Mathias requested all the committee members for their full cooperation and assured to do his best for the unity and to continue the good work.

USWAS will celebrate 'Shirva Fest-2014' on February 21 in Sheraton Deira Hotel from 6.30 pm -10.30 pm. It is an annual event of the association and will be open to all. More details will be followed soon.

Cultural Team : Prashant Sequeira, Vilma Saldanha, Claud D’lima.
