Kundapur: Two caught for peddling charas, prime suspect absconding

Kundapur, Jan 4: Kundapur police on Friday January 3 night arrested two persons for allegedly peddling charas (hashish) near M D Developers in Tallur. The prime suspect is said to be absconding.
The arrested have been identified as Raghavendra Shetty and Raghavendra, residents of Edamogge in Hosangadi.
The prime suspect Pradeep Devadiga, resident of Hattiangadi absconded on hearing about the arrests.
The locals near M D Developers in Tallur had observed the trio wandering about mysteriously in the area and had informed the police.
Circle inspector P M Diwaker and sub inspector Jayarama D Gowda under the guidance of Kundapur DySP C B Patil swung into action and arrested both Raghavendras who were transporting charas on their bike and seized their bike.
The arrested have disclosed that the prime suspect Pradeep Devadiga had been supplying charas from room No 105 at M D Developers building and he has fled.
The police have thrown a net for the arrest of Pradeep. Charas valued at Rs 5,000 was seized from the accused.
