Kate Winslet shares beauty products with daughter

Los Angeles, Jan 4 (IANS): Actress Kate Winslet lends her 13-year-old daughter make-up and beauty products as a "treat" before parties.

The mother of three, who has children Mia, 13, Joe, 10 and one-month-old son Bear, loves lending her teenage daughter make-up for special occasions.

"I lend my daughter beauty products, but only as a treat. If she's going to a party I'll let her borrow a mascara or moisturiser. She's only 13 and I always reminder her how lucky she is to be using mummy's things,” contactmusic.com quoted Winslet as saying.

The 38-year-old believes it's more important to be comfortable and confident on the red carpet than trying to look stylish.

"I used to worry about how I looked, but as I've gotten older, it doesn't matter to me what people think. It's all about feeling comfortable. There's nothing worse than stepping out onto the red carpet wearing an outfit you know could go wrong at any minute,” she said.

"I see photographs of myself when I wasn't 100 per cent happy and I look like crap. My skin and eyes seem tired - there wasn't a light coming from inside. Beauty definitely comes from inner happiness,” she added.
