Mumbai, Jan 3 (IANS): Learn the art to spin the disc and churn out foot-tapping numbers by taking up three-day disk jockey course offered by DJs Matty Wainwright and Paul T. The training will start here Jan 9, followed by classes in Gurgaon and then Chennai.

Vivanta by Taj, in association with DJ Dispensary, Britain, has brought in the Sound Lab, a school created with the intention of letting aspiring DJs get into a fun classroom mode and experience a brand new spin on the art of 'DJing’.

The Sound Lab is scheduled at Vivanta by Taj - President, Mumbai Jan 9-11; Vivanta by Taj, Gurgaon, Jan 16-18; and Vivanta by Taj - Connemara, Chennai Jan 23-25, said a statement.

The three-day course will incorporate packages for both residents of the hotel and non-residents.

One can enrol for a three-day workshop, for two hours each day, and be a part of group session in the morning. It will include activities like equipment familiarisation, introduction to beat-matching followed by a session with a private tutor in the afternoon. Students will also be taught Cueing, Beat structure and Pitch Control.

There will also be screening of history of disco and house music film. At the end of the course, an opportunity will be given to play a set for a crowd of party-ready peers and music lovers, under the guidance of mentors. The session will be photographed, recorded and streamed live on the internet.

A certificate will also be handed over along with copies of their recording and photographs.
