Mumbai, Jan 2 (IANS): The New Year seems to have started on a good note for Subhash Ghai. The filmmaker saw parts of his new movie "Kaanchi" and it left him with a smile.

"Kaanchi" is a project Ghai has been talking about with immense passion.
Starring Kartik Tiwari and newcomer Mishti in the lead roles, the musical drama also features veterans like Rishi Kapoor and Mithun Chakraborty. It is said to be an inspiring tale of a girl who dares to fight against corruption.
