Dammam, Dec 27: Results are announced for the essay contest conducted by Students Fraternity Forum (SFF) in relation to Gandhi Jayanthi. Malavika Surendran (Dammam Indian School) won the 1st prize in senior category. Manu Suresh and Rajin Chopra (Alhassa Modern School) came 2nd and 3rd respectively.

Ruby Ajith (Sunshine School), Merin Mary Jose (Dammam Indian School), Akshaya Dheer (Sunshine School) won the first, second and third prizes respectively in junior category. In sub-junior category, Foustina Babu (Al Khozama School), Lamis Khalid Mohamed (Khafji Indian School), Santina Shaji (Dammam Indian School) bagged the 1st, 2nd and 3rd prizes respectively.
Gold coins, trophies and certificates will be given to the winners. Good response was received for this contest conducted from October 2 to October 15, Students Fraternity Forum leaders said at a press meet. Around 750 entries were received in different categories, they added.
The prizes will distribute in a special ceremony ‘Indian Students Fest ’13 on December 27 in Dammam. Important personalities from educational, social, cultural and media fields will participate in the event, Nazeeb Pathanapuram, the program convener informed. There will be Oppana, Kolkali, Daffmuttu, Arbana, Arabian dance, songs in different languages, etc during the fest.
Students will get an opportunity to exhibit the drawings. Those interested in participating can just draw on a white paper using their own ideas and concepts and hand over the entries to the organizers before 5 pm on Friday. The drawings will be exhibited in a specially arranged hall and the best drawings selected by the audience will win prizes, Students Fraternity Forum leaders announced in the press meet.
