Mumbai, Dec 26 (IANS): "Back in 'Hazaaron...' space", says filmmaker Sudhir Mishra, who has just finished penning a new script and says it is "grittier" than his 2005 critically acclaimed film "Hazaaron Khwaishein Aisi".
"Finished another script. I think I am back in 'Hazaaron...' space though this is a grittier, tougher film," Mishra posted on Twitter Thursday.
"Hazaaron Khwaishein Aisi", which featured Kay Kay Menon, Chitrangada Singh and Shiney Ahuja, was a social drama set against the backdrop of the Indian Emergency. The film received rave reviews and was screened at many international film festivals as well.
Meanwhile, Mishra is also working on his film "Mehrunissa" which will unite veteran actors Amitabh Bachchan and Rishi Kapoor on the screen.
The script revolves around two friends, who fall in love with the same woman and get separated, and how they meet again after 40 years.
Based in 1945, "Mehrunissa" will span over four decades.
