Joe Wright to direct 'Peter Pan' prequel

Los Angeles, Dec 17 (IANS): British filmmaker Joe Wright has been called on-board to direct the prequel to fantasy film "Peter Pan".

"Peter Pan" is a character created by Scottish author and dramatist J. M. Barrie. Pan, a mischievous boy who never ages, spends his never-ending childhood adventuring on the small island of Neverland as the leader of his gang, the lost boys.

Wright will take on the film that will chronicle who Peter Pan was before he discovered Neverland and took charge of the lost boys, reports contactmusic.com.

Screenwriter Jason Fuchs, who penned the script for "Ice Age: Continental Drift", is adapting the idea for the screen.
