Parineeti pulls a 'Dr Frankenstein' in Hasee to Phasee!

Mumbai, Dec 14: Actress Parineeti Chopra seems very excited about her role as a 'mad scientist' in her upcoming movie Hasee to Phasee, as she believes it is a role that hasn't been seen on screen. The promos show Parineeti acting quiet mad for one thing and do reveal a nerdy side to her as she says to Siddharth, "Tum Oxygen ho aur main double Hydrogen. Hamari Chemistry bilkul Pani ki tarah hai." (You are like a molecule of Oxygen and I am like two molecules of Hydrogen. Our chemistry flawlessly flows like water.)

Filmmaker Karan Johar vehemently denied the movie being a romantic comedy and explained that it was rather the story of two people coming of age. He felt that the meeting up of  two people, their friendship and their journey together towards finding themselves was a better summation of the story rather than slotting it as a rom-com because the label trivialises a story that has much more to offer. The film also has the families of the principle characters very much involved in their journey. Parineeti further revealed that the film will surprise audiences as they come to realise and relate to the reasons behind all the madness shown in the film. She is seen in various disguises while seemingly running into a series of mishaps alongside her co-star Siddarth Malhotra.

The story that spans seven years and seven days has Siddharth Malhotra, in his own words, portraying a regular middle-class guy who is quiet sentimental in temperament. Siddharth plays a 'senti' character that compliments Parineeti's 'Mental' one. Directed by Vini Matthew the film is set to release on Feb 7, 2014.
