Transporting liquor in South Goa restricted


Panaji, Dec 14 (TNN): The government of Goa has prescribed that the following will be the maximum quantity of liquor which can be transported from one place to another within the jurisdiction of ward no 8 of Colva village panchayat, in Salcete taluka and ward no 9 of the village panchayat of Cortalim - Quelossim in Mormugao taluka, by any person or which can be possessed by any person within the said area without a permit issued in accordance with the provisions of the Goa Excise Act and the rules made there under, on December 14 and 15.

Three quart bottles of Indian made foreign liquor other than beer and six bottles of beer for any person including his family. Three quart bottles of country liquor for any person including his family. This notification will remain in force only on December 14 and 15, in view of the by-elections to be held in the above mentioned jurisdiction.
