Mumbai, Dec 13: Confirming the rumours doing the rounds for quite a while now, Krrish 3 actor Hrithik Roshan issued a public statement saying that his wife Suzanne had decided to end their 17-year relationship and wished to officially separate from him. He also said that he didn't want to disabuse his fans of the sanctity of marriage and the respect and honour that such an institution commanded.

Their marriage had been rumoured to have been on the rocks even before Suzanne started living separately, and it was her move to her parents' home in Juhu that seemed to bring home the fact that there indeed was a fire underneath all the suspected smoke. The fuel to the fire was the glaringly obvious presence of the couple in each-other's company at any of the recent social events. Hrithik's absence at the opening of Suzanne's store was also not a news to be missed. The actor had been reported to be in the US with friends instead of supporting his wife at the launch of her luxury concept boutique BANDRA 190.

The actor thanked his fans for their prayers and concern for his health and assured them that his treatment was progressing as planned. He added that he would be returning to his usual lifestyle very soon. The actor who had broken many hearts when he married his childhood sweetheart Suzanne soon after shooting to fame with his first movie 'Koi Mil Gaya', is rumoured to be in a relationship with Maheep Kapoor. He also has been linked with his friend Seema Khan.

Both the ladies had apparently suggested that Suzanne opt for a different date to launch her store so that her husband who was expected to be out of the country until the 16th of December, 2013 could attend, but were unable to bring them to a satisfactory negotiation on the matter.  All these broad hints and clues, were enough for the public to arrive at the logical conclusion that all was not well in Roshan Junior's household.

The couple has two sons Hrehaan aged 7 and Hridhaan aged 5.
