Mumbai, Dec 6 (IANS): A benchmark index of Indian equities markets was trading flat at 1.04 points down or 0.00 percent in the pre-noon trade Friday.
Good buying was seen in auto and consumer durables sectors while selling pressure was seen in banking index (bankex) sector.
The 30-scrip sensitive index (Sensex) of the S&P Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE), which opened at 20,955.74 points, was trading at 20,956.77 points in the pre-noon session, down 1.04 points or 0.00 percent from previous day's close at 20,957.81 points.
The Sensex touched a high of 21,049.84 points and a low of 20,922.45 points during the trade so far.
The S&P BSE auto index gained 86.98 points and consumer durables index went up by 75.17 points. However, bankex went down by 27.54 points.
The wider 50-scrip Nifty of the National Stock Exchange (NSE) was also trading flat at 1.50 points or 0.02 percent down at 6,239.60 points.
