New Delhi, Dec 5: Actor Shahrukh Khan's third child AbRam, born through surrogacy and who was premature by several months, is now healthy and quite handsome, said the actor. AbRam had been in the news since his birth in July this year and while Shahrukh had been doggedly asked about his son, he had politely declined thus far, requesting the media to give his family some time to care for their newest member. The baby has had to battle some health issues due to his premature birth but seems to be doing well these days.
The actor seemed elated that his own facial trait of dimples had passed down to his son and that the child was now very healthy. He said that AbRam was the source of a lot of joy in the house and his wife Gauri was quiet busy with the baby these days. Shahrukh said that since his older children Aryan and Suhana had both grown up and did not need a lot of parental attention Gauri and he missed having a little baby in the house and that was when they decided to go for a third child. His oldest child, son Aryan is now studying in London and the actor believed that his daughter too would soon fly the nest for higher studies.
Shahrukh expressed his ardent desire to take his three children back to his roots in Peshawar, the place his father hails from as well as where his father had taken him as a teenager. The actor harboured some fond memories of the trips his father took him on to Karachi, Lahore and Peshawar. While Shahrukh himself had been born in Delhi, his father Taj Mohammed Khan, had been a freedom fighter from Peshawar and Shahrukh said some family members still lived in Peshawar. He felt that it was high time the countries buried the hatchet on past differences and grievances there by paving the way for friendly relations and subsequently for familial ties between the two countries.
The 47-year old actor did not refute the invitation extended by former Pakistan Foreign Minister Hina Rabbani Khar at the Agenda Aaj Tak conclave by the India Today Group, here, yesterday.
