Mumbai, Apr 20: The Maharashtra Kannadigara Kalavidara Parishad, Maharashtra, in association with cine star Sachin Suvarna, recently held a condolence meet to mourn the death of veteran actor and Padmabhushan Dr Rajkumar, at the Karnataka Sangha auditorium at Matunga here.

S T Vijay Kumar Thingalaya, president of the parishad, offered floral tributes.

Also present were Jaya C Suvarna, president, Rashtriya Billawa Mahamandala, Narayana R Gowda, leader of Vokkaliga Samaja and president of Shri Adi Chunchanagiri Seva Samiti, Dr Sadananda Shetty, Vyasaraya Ninjooru, Sripati Champa, senior journalist, Sadashiva Shanthi, Bharat Kumar Polipu, president, Karnataka Sangha, Mumbai, G T  Acharya, president, Karnataka Vishwakarma Association, cine star Bhavani Shankar Shetty, B Balachandra Rao of BSKB Association, Suman Chiplunkar, Tara Rao, theatre artiste Ashok Pakkala and Narayana Nandalike.

Ramesh Shivapura, honorary chief secretary of the parishad, detailed on the lifetime achievements of Dr Rajkumar.
