The Punnami Hill Resort called Horsley Hills in Andhra Pradesh is not much known to people from other states. It is in Madanapalle, Chittoor district.
One of the interesting things found here is a 142-year-old eucalyptus tree which can be seen from Kadiri Madanapalle Road, about 70 kms away from the resort. This tree was awarded "Maha Vriksha Puraskar" by the government of ndia in 1995.
We get to see a lot of monkeys and birds in this great place, which provides a virtual forest feeling.
Viewed from a particular point at this resort, a neighbourhood village can be seen in the shape of the India map, which is indeed Nature's rare phenomenon.
The villagers are residing in and around this interesting spot. The forest department has taken keen interest and done their part in giving final touches to this area to get the shape of India map.
Daijiworld's Bangalore correspondent Jessie Rodrigues discovered this lovely place during a recent visit.
