Immigration alert issued against Tejpal

Panaji, Nov 26 (IANS): As a "precautionary" measure, all immigration posts have been alerted to prevent Tehelka editor-in-chief Tarun Tejpal from leaving the country, an official said Tuesday.

"He should inform us in case he is leaving the country," Goa Police Deputy Inspector General of Police O.P. Mishra told a press conference here.

Tejpal's junior, a woman reporter, in Tehelka is fully cooperating with us, Mishra said, adding that a formal statement was also being recorded by the Goa Police team which has travelled to meet her. The woman has accused Tejpal of sexually assaulting her in a Goa hotel.

Utter waste of time and waste of taxpayers' money.

My Dear Mr. Mishra there are a lot of worthy criminal cases in Goa that need immediate attention and resolve to ensure justice and alleviate the sufferings of the innocent.

I am unsure at this point of the one question that's bothering my logic?

The young woman journalist was raped once in the lift by Tejpal.... at least that's what I understand from the news reports? Why did she accompany him in the lift a second time?
