Mangalore: Crowds go crazy for Bollywood star Shilpa Shetty

Mangalore, Nov 24: All roads led to Ballalbagh on Sunday November 24 as daughter of the soil and Bollywood star Shilpa Shetty charmed the crowd during her visit to the city to inaugurate a jewellery store.
The first showroom of PC Jewellers in city was inaugurated by the star actress at Kayarmanj near TMA Pai Conventional Center.
Addressing the media in Tulu after inaugurating the showroom by lighting the auspicious lamp, Shilpa Shetty said, "I am happy to visit Mangalore after a long time. Ladies in Mangalore are known to be fond of jewellery."
She congratulated PC Jewellers on opening its 39th branch and said that she loves the designs it manufactures.
"I regret that I am not able to visit Mangalore as often as I would like to. I wanted to visit Kateel temple along with my husband and son and this was the right opportunity for me, it is almost like the deity of Kateel temple has called me here. I am very religious and a strong beliver in God, Daivas and Naga, in fact I am a full-on Bunt. I will be visiting Kateel and Dharmastala after this programme," she said.
Speaking on the occasion, Balram Garg of PC Jewellers said the Mangalore launch was an important landmark as it marks its foray into south India. "We look forward to a positive response from the customers and are confident that our collections will be liked by them," he added.
Hundreds of people gathered to catch glimpse of their favourite star.
