Mangalore: Audi drives into heart of city with new showroom

Mangalore, Nov 22: It is a known fact that the city of Mangalore has a luxurious taste for the sleek machines on road. In a happy news for the car-crazy citizens, international car brand Audi opened its showroom in the heart of the city on Friday November 22.
Audi India inaugurated its 30th showroom in India and second in Karnataka at Kankanady here. The company plans on escalating their presence in the country from the existent 30 centres to 34 before the end of 2013.
On the occasion, Audi India's head of sales Niraj Srivastava revealed that showrooms will soon be opening in Visakapatnam and Noida within the next month.
The company reportedly sold 130 cars in Mangalore and its surrounding areas last year alone and it looks forward to selling another 130, if not more, in the coming year, said K Subramanian, CEO of Audi Mangalore and Audi Bangalore.
With the opening of the showroom, the entire range of Audi models will be available in the city.
The showroom that they recently opened is expected to answer to the buyer demands in the areas of Udupi, Uttara Kannada, Belgaum, Dharwad, Hassan, Chikmagalur and Kodagu, said Ravindra Pai, general manager (operations) for Audi Mangalore.
