Mangalore Diocese holds three-day convention to mark Year of Faith

Mangalore, Nov 22: As part of the concluding ceremony of the Year of Faith, the Diocese of Mangalore organized a three-day Faith convention at Nehru Maidan here Friday November 22.
Bishop of Mangalore diocese Dr Aloysius Paul D'Souza who inaugurated the convention gave a call to practice the preachings of Pope Francis, especially those preached during the course of the Faith year.
The convention will be held till Sunday November 24 from 4 pm to 7:30 pm under the leadership of Mangalore diocese vicar general Msgr Denis Moras Prabhu.
The three-day programme consists of preaching, praise and worship, adoration, internal healing and holy Eucharistic celebration.
Renowned preachers Fr Vinith from the Association of the Catholic Faithful, Varanasi, Fr Joseph Eduttu of Divine Retreat Centre, Muringur, Kerala, Fr Joseph Cardoza and Fr Franklin will conduct the programme. The organizers are expecting more than 25,000 devotees to take part in the convention and about 150 handpicked choirists across the diocese will sing in the choir of the convention.
The convention will end with the celebration of the holy Eucharist mass on November 24 evening in which the Bishop will declare the end of the Year of Faith in the diocese of Mangalore.
