Tehran, Nov 22 (IANS): Iran's Foreign Affairs Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif has said that any agreement in the ongoing nuclear talks must include Iran's uranium enrichment right, media reported Friday.
"Iran's right to (uranium) enrichment is non-negotiable," said Zarif, adding that no deal would be reached until everything was agreed on.
The minister said although there are still some enduring steps for an agreement, it does not mean that he is pessimistic towards any deal, Xinhua reported.
Emphasising on Iran's enrichment right as a "redline", he said that "we have the right (for enrichment), right is there".
"It needs to be respected," the minister said.
Talks of Iran's nuclear programme in Geneva entered the third day Friday with hopes on both sides for some results.
Majid Takht Ravanchi, the Iranian negotiator in the talks, said there has been progress, according to the ISNA news agency.
