Election anthem soon on Delhi mobile phones

New Delhi, Nov 19 (IANS): The Election Commission has signed a pact with mobile operators to popularize its anthem "Dil mein hain dilli" to ensure maximum voting in Delhi Dec 4.

"More than nine mobile operators have been asked to convert the anthem as caller tunes and ring tones to help mobile users know their voting rights," Election Commission official Ankur Garg said Tuesday.

"The initiative has been started keeping in mind the number of mobile users in the capital, which is the highest in India," he said.

"The anthem is very catchy. I am sure it will make the voters vote," Garg said IANS.

Delhi has over 11.5 million voters in the capital, of which 75 percent are mobile phone users.
