New Delhi, Nov 18 (IANS): The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) is hiring people on a weekly payment of Rs.5,000 to campaign in New Delhi constituency for the Dec 4 assembly polls, Aam Aadami Party leader Arvind Kejriwal said here Monday.
Kejriwal, who will contest from the constituency, said he did not know who are getting the money.
"This is going on in my constituency. BJP is hiring people for Rs.5,000," he said.
"When we started door-to-door campaigning (in other constituencies), BJP also decided to campaign. They hired 30 people at the daily wage of Rs.300 to do their campaigning," he added.
The AAP's chief ministerial candidate said: "For political campaigning, they spent money on two things; hiring people to campaign and liquor."
He said the party's manifesto will be out in a few days and "decentralisation" will be one of its salient features.
The constituency will see a three-way contest between Delhi Chief Minister Sheila Dikshit (Congress), Vijender Gupta (BJP) and Kejriwal.
