Ahmedabad, Apr 7: Mild tremors jolted Ahmedabad and some other districts of Gujarat twice in a gap of nearly six hours on Thursday after which residents rushed out of their houses in panic, official sources said.
The tremors were felt by people living in Kutch and parts of Ahmedabad city, the sources added.
The first tremor measuring 4.7 on Richter Scale struck at 5.30 p.m. IST and the second quake was felt at around 11.45 p.m.
Earlier after the first tremor, Kutch district collector P N Sharma had said "there are no reports of any damage from any part of Kutch".
