Ghaziabad, Nov 13: 25 November, 2013 has been earmarked for the verdict on the Aarushi Talwar case by a CBI court on Tuesday. Her parents, Dentists Nupur and Rajesh Talwar were the main accused in the case of the murder of their 14 year old daughter Aarushi and their domestic help Hemraj.

Aarushi was found dead in her bedroom, at the Talwar's apartment in Noida, near Delhi, in May 2008. Hemraj who had initially been suspected of murdering the teenager was himself found dead on the roof, the next day.

While the Talwars claimed that the murders had been committed by three other domestics who worked at their house, the CBI maintained that the Talwars had been responsible for the murders and for tampering with the evidence in order to make it look like someone else had committed the crimes. The Talwars meanwhile also accused the CBI of tampering with the evidence and that evidence piled against them was circumstantial.

The trial on the dual murders began 15 months ago, here. The Talwars' plea to include journalist Nalini Singh's testimony was rejected by the court as was the closure report filed by the CBI. The three domestics accused by the Talwars, namely  - Raj Kumar, Krishna and Vijay Mandal, had been arrested initially but were let go for lack of evidence.

Aarushi had been allegedly killed with a kitchen knife while Hemraj had been murdered with a golf club. Nupur and Rajesh Talwar had been at home, on the night of the murders.
