Mangalore: Dubai-bound passenger caught with 3 kg ganja at airport

Mangalore, Nov 13: Immigration officials have arrested a passenger for trying to smuggle 3 kg ganja via Air India Express to Dubai from Mangalore International airport.

The matter came to light on Tuesday November 12 during checking at the immigration.

The arrested has been identified as Abdul Barish (22) from Kanhangad in Kerala.
 
Officials seized three ganja packets weighing 1 kg each, altogether worth Rs 30,000.

He was later handed over to Bajpe police who registered a case and produced him in the court.

    It is glaringly noticeable that youngsters from a particular community are mostly found and arrested .Request the religious and community leaders to take note of this and take steps to guide them accordingly. I am of the opinion only their particular community can help by naming and shaming them.

    Need no introduction.. even though this is plaguing the community for several years, every month these people caught doing illegal & antinatinal works nobody within the community addressing this issue, no forum, no discussion..it is becoming routine to believe just conspiracy theories, racial profiling so on.. when community itself wakes up from sleep then only it will stop..

    Somebody is using these gullible boys for their ulterior motive. the police must investigate the lobby and protect the future innocent boys falling prey to these racquets. No person who knows about the airport security will ever think of taking a pickle in his bag. then how is it possible to take a ganja? this boy might have never seen the airport.. Somebody is using him.

    Sometimes parcel stuff to someone else can be just like committing suicide without knowledge.
