Dalai Lama grieved at lives lost in Philippines typhoon


Dharamsala, Nov 11 (IANS): Tibetan spiritual leader Dalai Lama Monday expressed grief over the loss of human lives in Typhoon Haiyan in the Philippines.

In a letter to Philippines President Benigno Aquino III, the Nobel laureate offered his condolences and prayers to the families that have been affected by the region's worst typhoon in recorded history, an official statement here said.

Typhoon Haiyan has reportedly killed at least 10,000 people in the Philippines.
