Canada, April 4: With enthusiastic participants, a variety of entries in many languages from different parts of the Konkan region and the unflagging zeal of the organizers – the Konkan Kala Sanz is well on its way to being an unqualified success.
The 4-hour talent show is solidly booked with more than 25 entries with children as young as 5 years singing Konkani songs. Older men and women have taken up the challenge to promote the culture and heritage by organizing Konkani dances and teenagers are wholeheartedly co-ordinating fashion shows and dances that showcase our traditions. Even local Canadian children have submitted entries to demonstrate their best talents.

The highlight of the show will be a Konkani play, Mohinaychi Poily Tharik, written by CGS Taccode and directed by our very own talented Mangalorean, Oswald Sequeira. A combination of veteran and novice cast of actors and actresses are ably supporting Sequeira. There will also be a number of comedy skits in Konkani to encourage and champion the interest in the Konkani language.

The Konkan Kala Sanz will commence at 5.00 pm on April 22nd at St. Francis Xavier Secondary School, 50 Bristol Road W, Mississauga. An authentic Mangalorean dinner will be served to all ticket holders. The program will conclude at 9.00 pm.
