New Delhi, Nov 10 (IANS): The Aam Aadmi Party Sunday kicked off its "Jhadu yatra" during which its workers will cover all 70 assembly constituencies in the state by Dec 1.
The yatra (journey) is named after the party's election symbol, the broom (jhadu).
The AAP's yatra was launched by its convenor, Arvind Kejriwal. With the party's slogan: "Jhadu chalao, beiman bhagao" (Wield the broom, chase off the dishonest), the yatra started from north Delhi's Chandrawal area around 10 a.m.
Every morning till Dec 1, the party expects to hold road shows as part of its campaign. On Sunday, party workers went through the Civil Lines area, and past the Delhi legislative assembly complex at Old Secretariat.
