Central leadership wants Yeddy back in BJP: Eshwarappa
Shimoga, Nov 6 (DHNS): Former deputy chief minister K S Eshwarappa said on Wednesday that the BJP’s central leaders want former chief minister and KJP president B S Yeddyurappa to rejoin the BJP.
Speaking to reporters here, he said even the party workers were in favour of it. The central leaders favoured Yeddyurappa’s return to the BJP at a meeting held under the leadership of Rajnath Singh in Mumbai recently, Eshwarappa said. BJP will field its candidates in all the 28 Lok Sabha constituencies of the State and the party would not join hands with any party, he said.
Rajya Sabha member and district BJP unit president Ayanur Manjunath also said that the party had decided not to join hands with any party in the forthcoming Lok Sabha elections in the State.
He told reporters that the party’s national executive was against joining hands with any party in the State so far. However, if the situation demands, a final decision in this regard would be taken at the time of the elections, he said.
