New Delhi, Nov 6 (IANS): A 50-year-old Intelligence Bureau (IB) official was injured while his wife was killed when a speeding car hit their two-wheeler here, police said Wednesday.
The incident took place near Safdarjung Hospital in south Delhi Tuesday night when Om Prakash and his wife Usha Kumari were returning to their home in Dakshinpuri.
"Near the Safdarjung Hospital, a speeding car hit their vehicle from behind. The motorist sped away," said a police officer.
Om Prakash, who is employed with IB, suffered serious injuries but his wife got crushed by the speeding car, police said. Om Prakash is now warded in the All India Institute of Medical Sciences.
