Anti-Telangana slogans at ISRO media meet

Sriharikota (Andhra Pradesh), Nov 5 (IANS): The anti-Telangana sentiments in Andhra Pradesh made its presence felt at a press meet addressed by the Indian space agency chief here Tuesday.

Some media personnel, wearing badges issued by the Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) and holding notices that read 'Do not divide AP' and 'Don't give Telangana', started shouting slogans.

This took the media personnel - national and international - by surprise.

Many felt that slogan shouting was in bad taste and not appropriate for the moment.

India's first Mars orbiter Tuesday successfully began an arduous 400 million km long journey to Mars, making it the first Asian country and the fourth in the world to undertake a mission to the red planet.
