Jalandhar, Nov 4 (IANS): Trains ran over five people in two separate incidents near this Punjab city, police said Monday.
Four people, including a woman and a child, were crushed by the Chhattisgarh Express near the Jalandhar Cantonment railway station, about 160 km from Chandigarh.
Police said the victims were crossing the tracks when the train ran over them.
Police also recovered the body of a villager on rail tracks near Chaheru. He was run over by the Amritsar Superfast train.
